What Is the STAR Method?

When I use the STAR method I think about these things:
- Situation: I tell them what was going on around me.
- Task: I say what I had to do .
- Action: I explain what I did to get it done.
- Result: I talk about what happened and what I learned from it.
The STAR method helps people who are asking me questions understand how I make decisions and get things done. It helps them see what I can do. How I do it. The STAR method is really helpful when I am talking to someone, about the STAR method.
Choose Strong Examples
Pick examples that show you can work with a team be a leader, solve problems communicate well or be flexible. If you can include numbers that show what you achieved like making something more efficient selling more or finishing a project early.
Deliver Your Answer Clearly
Keep your answer short and to the point. Do not give too many extra details. Speak in an confident voice and make sure you talk about what you did not just what your team did.
